Dredging salt crystals

Project Description:  Dredging the salt pools and transporting the salt water with salt crystals (at a concentration of 30%) from the dredger to external pools, a distance of hundreds meters, using a floating pipe. A special polyethylene pipe was purchased from an American company but failed after two months.

Solution

PEXGOL™ pipes 400 mm, 450 mm, and 500 mm – in lengths of 600 m each – carried the hard salt crystals and salt water to the pool. After completion of the project, the pipes were taken to other pools for further use.

Pipes in use with no failures since 1990
