Hot and cold water pipes at uranium factory

Project Description:  Exchange of hot and cold water lines at the Enusa uranium factory – the steel pipes rusted and were impossible to remove from the factory without contaminating the environment.  Replacement rate of steel pipes – every 3 years.

Solution

PEXGOL™ 60–280 mm were installed along the rusted pipes. Some were covered with insulation material with an external layer of stainless steel. They have been functioning without failure and apparently will not require replacement for decades. Enusa has been replacing old metal lines with PEXGOL annually since the original installation.
